Hello everyone,

I helped one of my web site customers (Klute Miller Attorney's) set up an account with Inktomi Search Position Technologies last week. He was not on AOL last week. This week he is on the first page of almost every catagory for Michigan Lawyers.

For example type in " Michigan real estate lawyers " and he is number 3 out of 28,002 web pages.

Question is, was it Inktomi or would it be there anyway, because of the DMOZ listing from 2 weeks ago?

Thanks,
Lead :hi:

Great job! It is hard to know for sure. A combination of both is more likely as AOL is using both in a mixed up fashion right now. Is the description being used the DMOZ one or is it the web page one? Even if DMOZ it could still take into account Inktomi as well.

I would bet it is from the PositionTech subscription. On AOL you'll notice the view-source actually shows the click going through an AOL redirect. You'll also be happy to know, I did the same search on MSN and it is also in third position!~ If you view source on MSN, you'll confirm the click going through redirect-west.inktomi. :eyes:

<additional note>

The AOL click thru does not indicate PT, but actually appears to be tracking keywords. Though it is most likly the inclusion was through PT, since MSN provides similar results.
