Hi!

I paid for inclusion of our main page in AskJeeves via I Need Hits on 03/20/03. Their site says it takes 7 days. On day 7, I received an email saying that their automated system was not able to index our main page so I will have to wait another 7 days to have a human review it. This is because of their high standards. I called their customer service number and it says due to unexpected volume of calls I can leave a message on their voice mail and wait for a call back. So I emailed them and have received no response. No other search engine has had a problem indexing our site, but AskJeeves. I guess the problem is I paid for this one. Has anyone else experienced this?

Thank you in advance.

Chuck

I've stopped using Ineedhits for AJ and now use Positiontech. I was not happy when Ineedhits sent me an e-mail stating they were going to automatically debit my credit card when I didn't renew with them - unless I responded within a few days, telling them not to.

Not professional IMHO!

I would suggest this is not an AJ problem - I've seen no problems with getting indexed within the stated period - but a glitch with the provider. Keep hassling them!

I dont know if it is related, but I submitted to AJ via positiontech and had the same experience, late indexation. It seem it was a server issue from AJ side.
Here is the email from Positiontech:

"We contacted AskJeeves to determine the problem with indexing. Apparently the URL's have been indexed into the database, but because of a server issue at AskJeeves the index reports that are sent to us have not been generated since Feb. 24th."

Good Morning!

I finally spoke to a representative at I Need Hits. He said that every 5th submission is automatically flagged with this error. So that 20 percent of the sites submitted are reviewed by an editor and thus take 14 days to complete. He said this is a quality assurance procedure. This is something in my opinion that should be posted on their site.

Thank you for the feedback.

Good Morning!

And the saga continues. Day 14 and I receive a response to my second email that it will be yet another 5 days before our site is reviewed, but our listing will be extended by 3 weeks. There slogan should be when you absolutely do not care when you get listed, choose us.

Hi!

As previously stated I paid for inclusion to be indexed into Ask Jeeves via their agent I Need Hits on March 20th, 2003. According to their site our site still has not been indexed due to error 13. I have called and emailed them and they keep saying it will be a few more days. Should I request a refund from my credit card company or wait longer?

Thank you for your advice.
