It appears that sometime in recent weeks, the Free MSN Add URL form has moved or disappeared or both.
Can anyone explain this mystery?

Oh God! I too can't find it :D
Well, if your site is non-commercial in nature, you can submit it in Zeal and it will start showing in Msn’s directory search results. You can also submit your site to Inktomi (paid inclusion) or wait till Inktomi finds your web site by itself (free :) ) and you will show up in Msn web page results.
Welcome to the forums :hi:

Excellent work, richmc, that is the very form which seems to have disappeared from MSN Search!

The free submit URL for MSN is as follows:
http://free.submit-it.com/msnsubmit.htm
You are only allowed to enter 1 url per day. Right now the system is a little slow with it taking up to a month or 1.5 months for full inclusion. Sometimes, it works faster. This probably depends on crawling deadlines.

...a great question to ask considering MSN is thinking about trying to compete with Google. All I have to say is a good pizza is made with good ingredients. The dough makes very little difference to the eater.

Ok so there is a free form, which index does it submit to Inktomi or L$? My thinking is neither, it is a useless submission going to nowhere. These are the primary and only indexes used presently. Has anyone actually used the form and know it has been listed for sure?

I submitted a site to the msn free submit, and my site also appears in the Inktomi search, which I never paid for (yay), and at the moment I definately do not have a lot of other sites linking to it (one or two, that's it).
Perhaps the submit doesn't go directly to Inktomi or L$, but maybe Inktomi spiders the msn free submit on it's own?

The MSN free submit goes directly to Inktomi. It should also allows 5 pages per day, not just 1.
