Google indexes pages with query strings, as does Alltheweb. You can make it easier for SEs though, by rewriting the URLs to eliminate any special characters. It depends on which platform you're using, but there are ways to clean up your URLs for search engine spiders. There are plenty of discussions on how to do this here.
