i have no idea why they chose to have 2 websites with the same content. But will that affect search engine placement??
Will having the same name in the web browser affect anything as well?
Basicly they have a mediocre site with good with good traffic but they want to re-direct that traffic to the new site we created for them.

I thought you asked this same question a week ago or so in here? It's already been answered in a good way. I don't remember the forum it's in.

Basicly..... a user has a website. HE/She has that site ranked relatively well. They get introduced to our websites and decide they would like us to create them a site with the same content as before but yet using our better feature, style and usability.
the problem is we cant get these domains ranked as good as their original. Is it a simple code issue or is there more we cant seem to pinpoint??
all suggestions wanted

They cannot keep BOTH sites with the same content. They have to delete the old site or make that site Completely different than the new site.
It's their fault for messing with a site that is already ranked. Why did you make another site instead of redesigning the old site? That was the first mistake.

to help clearify it more......the sites inquestion are........
www.billhalley.nf.ca (original site) that has decent rankings
vs
www.billhalley.com (site we created for him) same content so why doesnt it rank as good?
