Hope Doug doesn't mind if I do a little self-promotion.

I'm the owner of Search Spot (http://searchspot.com) .

We're a pretty small PPC search engine, currently getting around 17,000 searches a month. The site, and search engine itself, is nearly 5 years old. So we have some pretty loyal users. We just converted to pay-per-click.

Minimum bid is 2¢. Most terms are unbid at this point.

Tell you what... these forums, and the members that post here, have really been good to me. I'd like to return the favor. Here's a URL where you can sign up for an account and get a $25 credit for nothing... It'll help fill out the bids for us:

I'll subscribe to this thread, so if there are any questions about the SearchSpot.com search engine, you can post them here and I'll reply.

Have a great day!

Hey Nathan, Nice and clean site!

I have never did the PPC thing so I'm not starting now. :) I'm sure others might give it a whirl though.

We've added a new feature to SearchSpot. You can download an IE toolbar with FREE popup-blocking software built in. There's a button to turn the feature off and on. And of course - the SearchSpot search window similar to Google's toolbar.

And the previous offer to IHelpYou members still stands. Click the link in the previous message and set up a free account.

Isn't free stuff cool?

;)

Nathan,

I took a quick look at your PPC page and it didn't answer the following questions for me:

What measures have you taken to safeguard against click fraud?

Are you set up to use tracking URLs while displaying "clean" URLs?

What sort of account tracking features do you have?

The back-end is fairly simple. I believe the anti-click fraud features only credit one click per IP per 24 hours. (I didn't program it). So this doesn't prevent more sophisticated attempts... I suppose we can invest in better protection when the searches get up past the million per month mark!

The tracking URL will be displayed. I'll put that feature request on the list.

Account tracking: if you mean account management, it's fairly simple. You can view high bids, get keyword suggestions, upload large lists of keywords, etc. If you mean campaign tracking, you would have to set that up manually.

Go ahead and sign up for a free account - then you can view all these things from the member area for yourself!

:)
