Hey all! I'm planning on doing an online interview with Mike and/or Andy Mindel from WordTracker for an upcoming issue of Rank Write. If any of you have some burning WT questions you'd like answers to, please post them here (or if you prefer, send them to me via email or PM) and I'll ask them in my interview. I know that I get a lot of people asking me stuff about WordTracker, and I can't always answer them, so this could make for a great RW issue. Please try and get me the questions within the next day or two as I'd like to send them over to Mike as soon as possible so he'll have time to answer them.
Thanks!
Jill

OK! I love WordTracker - It is an THE most important part of my keyword research on behalf of a client.
My major question (and I know it has been asked before) is when can you take into consideration what search engines outside of the US have for searches for KEI purposes?
Great product - love it - and use it!

Hi Jill:
You might ask Mike if they have resolved the problem of competion reports for MSN yet. I discussed this problem with Andy some months ago and they made a quick patch and were working on something additional.
This involves the problem of not getting correct competing pages for MSN If there are ten or more LS listings for the keyword, in which case Wordtracker reports only the competing LS pages, whereas if there are less than ten LS listingss Wordtracker reports the number of competing web pages. These numbers are vastly different so that if there are 11 LS listings your KEI is based on 11 competing pages, but there may be 2 million web pages on MSN for that keyword.

a question: has wordtracker thought to other languages? i mean an option to find keywords in french, german etc would be very useful.

Here's a question: What Thesaurus does WT use when producing suggested keywords? Given the spellings are always American, I am thinking it is a Roget's rather than an Oxford etc or a combination.
Can you ask them to please confirm this and also suggest that the inclusion of British English spelling within suggestions would be greatly appreciated!
thanks Jill
