Classification tag

Hi,

I came across the 'classification tag' which many sites use along with the description and keywords tag.

Does anyone have any idea about the use of this tag?

Sorry, can't say that I've used it at all. I believe it's used to help structure information within a document to help with some search programs but I not entirely sure.
