Every guestbook on the internet over-run with porn links

I used to try signing guestbooks to build link pop (it works), but now it seems like every porno-site on the net' has caught on.

hmmm, I'm not sure how it may help unless the site the book is on has a decent pagerank? Now, of course, with the porn, you may not want to anymore. :rolleyes:

Quality does not equal quantity....I always like to know who is linking to my sites...just for piece of mind. I usually avoid guestbooks for that reason--don't want to be connected to porn or any other irrelevant site (site that doesn't somehow relate to the content on my site)....

I actually found a several porn sites with pagerank 6 only from signing guestbooks.

hmm..i can see that working. One of the weaknesses of google's algorithm occurs when you can write your own link and anchor text on remote sites. 'course, 'tis still SPAM if it's deliberate and off topic.
