I was hoping some of you fine people might comment on my navigation scheme. We recently changed our site to remove “graphic tabs” at the top of each page and replaced them with “text tabs”. Originally the graphic tab links on the top were duplicated in text on the side menu. Now that they are text on the top and on the side, how might this affect our optimization?
Does this affect our PR by having more text links than necessary on the pages?
What about keyword density -vs- anchor text, would removing the links on the side menu have any affect, good or bad?
As you can probably tell, I am considering removing the links on the side menu, however I don’t want to do it blindly and so I thought I would ask the big brains around here. :D
