Question ABout Getting Listed

Im sure this may have been talked about before, but did not find it. If i have a new site and want it crawled immediately. Could I use overture or google add words to get it listed ppc, but then would it get crawled soon? This way i could then close my account and i would be in the index.

No.

No one can tell a robot to crawl you 'now'. PPC has zero to do with the robot. You have to be patient like everyone else. :)

If it's brand new, expect to wait about 3 months before being indexed. That's assuming you acquire a few quality links coming into the site. It's one thing to be crawled, it's quite another to 'stick' in the index.

Thanks for the advice. Thats what i thought because if it was possible, most likely every SEO would be doing it. Its just that i was just hired for a company and i have always worked with sites that were at least in the index, this one is not even up yet and they seem to expect traffic coming immediately. Thank you again.

Yes, new sites are the toughest to get in and stick anyway. Tell them to do AdWords until they get indexed.
