direct hit ??

Was wondering what you all thought about Direct Hit in regards to what kind of traffic it brings; is it a major player? I noticed good increases in web position with them, and some referrals, but no visits from Grabber, which is what I think is their spider. Where are they pulling their info?

IMO, they are an also-ran. I get very few hits from them and never expect any. Not even sure what the heck their objectives are anymore, nor do I care. :rolleyes:

They actually DO bring a some referrals!

DH does bring a few referrals sometimes daily, sometimes weekly...definitely nothing to get excited over...I don't pay much attention to them nowadays but it doesn't hurt to have your pages listed there...

Some other engines also use some form of Direct Hit results. For instance, HotBot does, and I believe Ask Jeeves (which owns them, right?). Of course, neither of those engines bring much traffic either!

We get a whopping 10 visitors a day from them. Don't worry about them. They are not worth the traffic.

I've also noticed MSN will provide results from directHit for most popular. All tallied, could probably count the number of visits on the six toes of my left foot!~ :shocked: And no logs for Grabber in quite some time!
