I cant find a (free) way in today, but i saw a couple of our relatively new sites in there, that dont have too many links.

How are they getting in there so quick. if i find out maybe i can do it for other sites.

Jeeves, like all the spidering search engines, find and add sites all the time. No reason to pay unless you need to get in quickly and/or need to make constant tweaks that you'll want indexed.

How much traffic do people see from Ask Jeeves as a % of the total search engine traffic, trying to see if it is worth it to pay to submit.

This thread (http://www.ihelpyouservices.com/forums/showthread.php?s=&threadid=5217) was about AllTheWeb, but it really deals with traffic from all the search engines, including Ask. A couple of the replies mention it, but in very different positions, so I don't think you could say there was any consensus.

I believe Ask audience is very dependant of the geography and categories of users. I believe it is popular in uk, someone can confirm/infirm?

Ask Jeeves (AJ) is the second best referral engine for my site. Even though my site has first page (regular) listings for most of my favored keyphrases on AJ, it appears that 99.9% of referrals from AJ are from my AdWords syndicated PPC ads. AJ shows AdWords ads in a block before the regular SERPs.

In any event, AJ appears to draw quite a bit of traffic.

According to the latest Nielson Ratings (http://www.searchenginewatch.com/reports/article.php/2156451), Ask Jeeves has nearly 10% of the search market share and is the 5th most popular search engine with home and work users in the U.S.

Thanks Kal. I notice that the report mentions that the Ask Jeeves numbers include the numbers from Teoma. I'd be interested in seeing those two broken down, but I guess that isn't available. I'm sure Ask gets tons more traffic than Teoma does, but I've been reading little mentions for about a year now that Teoma is an SE to watch. Seems not many people are watching it yet.
