G'day all,
I'm taking a stab at building affiliate mini sites. I have the first two up and was wondering what the standard method is for linking pages internally. Should all pages be linked to all other pages? Using the wonder of server sides includes (ssi), I have the links to all pages at the bottom of each page. Of course this would be impratical if I had 100s of pages but each site only has 10 pages or so now.
I also link one site to another - they are not really related, is this bad, especially if the link is part of the ssi and gets placed automatically at the bottom of every page.
I am also using a link from a site with a PR of 7 to get my sites spidered. (It's nice to get crawled every week!) The sites are not really realated but heck its just a sponsored link right?;) Is this bad and if I remove the link from the PR7 site will my other sites drop in rankings? I've read the Planet Ocean Report and some the wacky (in my opinion) report called "revenge on the mini-net. I didn't find any answers to the above questions in either. Plantnet ocean is a good first read but the revenge of the mini net - any one else read it ??
