entry into hotbot...possible?

Is it possible to get listed in hotbot for free? i tried several times and it doesn't seem to work :(

Yeah, it's possible. It just takes the same amount of time as the mating cycle of a bull elephant.

Actually, you really should see your home page in there in about 3-4 months, but as for deeper pages, well......

I FINALLY got listed in Hotbot, and wouldn't you know it's an old version and so not optimized. Any clues on how I go about getting it updated??? Hotbot and Lycos are so slow to do anything.:(

You can either pay PositionTech and get spidered every 48 hours, or wait til the spider comes back around to update your site.

The Inktomi spider comes around my sites about once a month or so. Every site seems to be different. They update at random.

Sometimes I get grayer myself waiting around. :)

Lycos may own HotBot, but the former updates about every two weeks or so. I think you should go for the paid inclusion thing (particularly as the price is about to increase) - it really isn't a great deal of money.

Paid inclusion will be the fast track, and compared to other prices it does seem very reasonable. You might consider targeting a few of your most important pages, and maybe by the time the bull elephant is a grandparent the spider will have found your other pages.

Woah...you did great! I just checked three different phrases and you were top 10 on two, and number 11 for the other! WTG! I knew you had it when I saw your the changes you made to your copy and stuff last time. These changes should also help your Inktomi listing and your other listings.
