According to some sources, a meta keywords tag can have up to 150 words. I have read elsewhere that the max should be 8 -10 and another source says 3-4.

Can anyone tell me if there is really a limit and what that limit is if any?

Thanks

Well first of all I would not really worry about it much since hardly any of the SEs even read them any more, but if you really need the information there is a table at:http://search-engine-optimization.ecommercehosts.com/se_data_d.htm that will give you ideas for some of the major SEs.

Blech to the meta keywords. Put as many or as little words as you want. Put commas or don't. Use the tag or don't use it. Either way, it's not gonna make a difference to your rankings at this point in time.

Welcome to the forums Sevan! :hi:

Or, you could simply do searches in the forums to find many, many threads that talk about keywords and the keyword tag.

Oh, I noticed you have a link leading to the overture tool for keyword research. When you compare that tool to the tool from www.wordtracker.com , well, you cannot compare because there is no comparison. Wordtracker is the much better one and one that should always be used. They have a free trial that is good enough for most web sites.
