In Europe, FAST is a BIG player with all the regional Lycos SEs taking their results from it plus the major Scandanavian engines. With T-Online (the biggest provider in Germany) dropping Infoseek and going with FAST - it could be a really important engine for anyone going for the International market. Traffic from Lycos UK seems to be pretty good as well.

Suppose I'd better get in the FAST PartnerSite Beta Program :(

Anyway - I'm going to lift a glass (or 5) to all here in celebration.

Yes. Fast is an engine we need to keep a close eye on. Even in the US, if they would start getting lots of traffic, watch out!

Fast arguably has the best deep crawler on the internet, even better then Google (imo). It can be a great resource for obscure sites and performing compound keyword searches.

They just need to ramp up the traffic.

Nice one, Barry. Particularly good timing as I've just been asked to provide a breakdown for a client of which European and Asian engines deliver results from Fast and which from Google.

Markymark - I could have been a show-off and given you my research notes but they don't come up to the standard of information gleaned by the superb Renke at WMW with valid additions from around the world of which SEs use FAST (including many in India I hadn't heard of which FAST themselves posted).
