In spite of all things very obvious about that place; we have many in this industry that tout those forums. Many refer to them at every turn. Why is this? That guy is spot on with his 100 things. There are probably more if we think about it.

I don't know why our industry allows places like this to do whatever they want and NO ONE with a voice speaks out about it. No one.

I just got PM'd with something very similar. It appears that sphinn.com membership is spinning a well-known cloaker named Fantameister because of some article he wrote about his new cloaking crap. Free speech is fine, but when the industry makes no comments about it, our free speech goes to being "free harm" for you speech.

Check the members who spinned that article by the world's biggest blackhat search engine spammer.

Members who spinned it are the biggest contributors to spin. Goes to show what type social media sites are in this industry.

That article is so lame like he's invented something new while some major sites have been doing this for years and so do I to a limited degree.

The only thing is now that the BH's think they've had such a clever idea and it's simply a matter of WHAT you cloak that makes the intent bad, not HOW you cloak it, and this is much ado about nothing as it's the same old crap, different day.

The rest of the world calls it GeoIP targeting but you wouldn't expect BHs to read would you?

I can't help you there Bill. I couldn't see myself beside many of those members over there who spin things that are just amazing crap.

I noticed that fanto guy posted that only a real human from a "search engine" would be able to detect his cloaking.

Isn't it amazing that whitehat members over there are not saying one word to that spammer about his article or business model? The only one over there who said anything at all was Bill. Nice job Bill. I think g1smd said something as well.

Danny Sullivan is saying nothing. Whalen is saying zero. They are both big members over there but they say NOTHING at all to fantomeister or the business model in general.

Why doesn't Google simply ban this guy's website? Why do people just allow the stuff to go on and even allow these types of spammers to tout their wares? I don't get it. Notice WHO spinned the spammer? The biggest contributors of that site spinned the spammer. That shows us what type of member that sullivan character likes. It also shows that Danny Sullivan does not give a rats ass who promotes their crap on his website.

Especially when Ralph in his pride made what he was doing public.Hopefully that article will ad Google in tracking his latest scheme. Unfortunately innocent people who are using the same technique for legitimate reasons may get hurt in the process.
