BANNED by Google?

Yesterday interesting thing happened to my website: The pages are still there in the index if I check with site: or via google webmaster tools. However after getting 1K+ daily UVs from Google I get nothing. The website doesn't rank for any keywords whatsoever even if I construct the query in such a way that it would be the only result. However when I add site:mysite.com to the query - results appear. It very much looks like a ban to me. However my understanding was that when you get banned - pages disappear from the index altogether. Did anyone experience anything like this?

If the pages are in the index, you're not banned.

Check for any errors that may have caused a penalty. Google will report SOME of them in Webmaster Tools.

Other than that, it could be about a million reasons, so you'll have to put your site in your profile if you want any help.
