I wrote this post. I saved it "just in case" it was deleted. I never really truly thought that this post would be deleted, but there ya go:

"302's "Never" work like that and should Never work like that. Telling this poor guy to use them should "not" be happening. "Always" use a 301 redirect unless you truly are in a "temporary" situation. It would not surprise me at all if Google caught on to this and is fighting it. They should. Trying to trick the se's does not work in the long run. It never worked in the past long term, and it won't work in the future long term either. Period.

Use the 302 the way it should be used. Use a 301 the way it should be used. If you change your domain "permanently", then use the 301. What is hard to understand about this?

That is word for word. Nothing left out. It's as is.

Now tell me; why was a different opinion deleted in there? Could it be they simply don't like an outsider coming in and disagreeing with them? I think so. They HATE criticism and differences. They won't stand for someone "like me" to have an opinion. If anyone can see anything wrong with my post that warranted a deletion, please let me know.

They have a member in there who took that forums advice and using a 302 instead of the RIGHT WAY to do things with a 301. The member seems to have been burnt by that advice. Duh? I posted my opinion and it got zapped.

Seems to me that place is no better than the SEW forums where my posts got deleted left and right as well.

We might spat and disagree alot in here, but never is a post completely deleted just because a member is disagreeing with me. It's really pathetic the way other forums run things. Truly, truly pathetic. It's also pathetic the huge amounts of bad advice that other places are handing out.
