Since Doug asked me nicely to share this with the class after I BCCed him in the act of doing evil

, I figured I'd give the rest of you a little chuckle.

Typographical error bolded by me for effect. The rest of the email is as is.
Now of course, I couldn't let this go without a response. So, without further ado:

Hi Ethan,
I would be very interested in offing your domain name for you.
As far as my fees go, this depends on the popularity of the domain name as
measured by Alexa rank and the difficulty of the job.
I use two methods of domain name renewal:
1) I can send your domain name to swim with the fishes. My rates for this
start at $2500, payment upfront, no refunds or exchanges.
2) I can sit on a grassy knoll and shoot at your domain name from 50 feet
away. My rates for this start at $5000, and vary greatly depending on the
complexity of the job and how many witnesses I would have to avoid. 50%
deposit upfront, 50% on delivery, no refunds or exchanges.
I do also offer customized domain name renewal services, but most people
find them to be very expensive. Please contact me if you would like more
information or mail a briefcase full of unmarked, non-sequential bills to:

I repeatedly made an error in my response, but spammers don't notice these things. Besides, it's a minor detail.
