Yes and maybe...

Okay, I've made some mistakes. I have posted in forums before, but never to promote something of my own, so I had no idea how sensitve that could be. So, I concede that I made a mistake in posting, or at least in how I posted, about my site.

With that said, is it okay if we continue the productive parts of this discussion? Connie brought up some very good points. Honestly, my inital thinking is to make the site easy for webmasters. But I also hope to attract editors - people interested in writing accurate site descriptions. The usability is something I'm constantly working to improve - I personally do not think it's bad, but acknowledge that it could be better.

Once I have some good content (built mostly by those webmasters, granted) I will have something to offer people looking for sites. Right now I could have few other users than webmasters, really.

About the wiki model - these are valid concerns, but that's what makes it interesting. I've taken steps to reduce the spam, and the easy editing will hopefully attract more attention from editors and valid contributors than spammers - if it does, it'll be successful. If not, then if fails. We'll see...

Thanks,
Aerik
