how do I look via AOL ?

While staying at a friend's this weekend, I thought I would take a peek at my site, http://www.lewisgardens.com, as my friend uses AOL (I don't). I noticed two things that I may need to "fix": the border image and my logo image are blury, and the text - which I have set to bold - appears to be too bold. I have had my site reviewed by several individuals; several browsers, several resolutions and I thought I had the "bugs" worked out.

Can anyone verify what I am seeing via AOL ? I never considered the fact that my site would look slightly different in AOL vs. my ISP. Thank you!

Yep! Welcome to "AOL's Own World"! I viewed your site on AOL 7.0 and saw the blurriness of your logo and border image. I didn't, however, see the text too bold thing, although I only looked at a couple of pages (I did a side to side comparison viewing your site in IE and AOL).

Well drats! I can't seem to get the border and logo images to look right...now I am afraid I may have messed them up in IE's view. Please, can you let me know how the border and logo look in IE and AOL now ? Sorry to keep bringing this up...just want it to look great for my visitor's first impression. (BTW: I am still learning the graphics aspect to web designing, and perhaps my tools are not the greatest...I created the logo via my image software).

Ya know, I tried accessing the URL handyman4u.com, but got "URL for sale" on the screen. I imagine there are other such scree-shot tools othe there, I'll have to take a look. Is there one that is better than the rest, or do you suppose they are all pretty much the same ? A screen-shot tool would be quite useful.

My graphics software is ArcSoft Photo Impressions 2000. Not the greatest for creating and editing images, but the price was right - free. Came with my HP printer

You should be able to just click on that link to see the screen shot. Let me know if you can't get there.

As far as taking screen shots, the way I do it is to hit the <PrintScrn> key on my keyboard, then open up one of my graphics editing programs and click <Edit> <Paste as New Image>. This method grabs a "picture" of whatever is currently showing on your monitor, which you can then edit in your graphics editing program.

Alternately, you can hit <Alt + Print Scrn> and grab the contents of the currently open window, rather than the whole screen.
