AdWords Keyword Suggestions

Has anyone used this? If I type in a keyword it gives me a listing of keywords that my add will show up under. Does this mean that those are keywords that google knows are being typed into there dbase? Is there anyway to find out how many times these are being typed into google?

Thanks

Yes, I believe they are words that do at times get searched on in Google. I haven't found that tool to be very helpful, however. I used it the first time I made my ad, but I've since gone back and used WordTracker, which has worked much better!

You'll get to see what words are actually searched on, once you get your ad up and running, but seeing how many impressions it gets. This is very valuable info!

Good luck!

Thanks Jill,

Have you read the new Articel @ Clickz by Danny Sullivan?

http://www.clickz.com/search/opt/article.php/1039071

What does this mean for SEO? I get from that article that there will be no free submissions and the only people that will rank well are the ones that pay...

Well, TS, it's been moving in that direction for a long time. But aside from the major directories or Overture Ads, it's still very possible to have your sites listed in all the major search engines.

The most popular search engine is Google, and they have no fees. You can often get more traffic from Google alone and not have to even worry about the other engines, if you'd like.

For now, I wouldn't worry, but we definitely have to keep our eyes open!

As to the LookSmart thing, it's a non-issue, in my opinion because they simply went too far. I don't expect them to be around for too much longer, and don't recommend that people pay them for any clicks.
